AMERICA THE GORGEOUS
SUMMER 2007
America the Gorgeous was a personal project created to reflect on American capitalism and consumerism. Inspired by the form of buddhist thangkas, this illustration celebrates and ironically pokes fun of the world that we live in as a whole. Religious and social characters are intermingled amongst each other, holding and celebrating some of the goods we consume as a society, including M&M’s, Burger King, Froot Loops, McDonald’s, Coca-Cola, and more.
