CHIPOTLE FARMER CURRENCY CARDS

SUMMER 2011

Chipotle distributes their own type of currency that can be used in their stores at various local and national marketing events. Seeing an opportunity in the large audience that receives these currencies, Chipotle decided to integrate the restaurant’s mission of Food with Integrity into this promotional platform. We created a series of cards featuring the stories of the farmers that Chipotle works with.

Inspired by vintage trading cards and traditional currency art, our design features a promotional offer within a currency-styled portrait illustration. The back of each card tells the story of a farmer,  integrating Chipotle’s message to support local farmers and source the very best ingredients they can find.
